Texts
/2:41/ Now every year his parents went to Jerusalem for the festival of the Passover. /2:42/ And when he was twelve years old, they went up as usual for the festival. /2:43/ When the festival was ended and they started to return, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but his parents did not know it. /2:44/ Assuming that he was in the group of travelers, they went a day's journey. Then they started to look for him among their relatives and friends. /2:45/ When they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem to search for him. /2:46/ After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. /2:47/ And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. /2:48/ When his parents saw him they were astonished; and his mother said to him, "Child, why have you treated us like this? Look, your father and I have been searching for you in great anxiety." /2:49/ He said to them, "Why were you searching for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father's house?" /2:50/ But they did not understand what he said to them. /2:51/ Then he went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them. His mother treasured all these things in her heart. /2:52/ And Jesus increased in wisdom and in years, and in divine and human favor.
(1b) Luke 9:51
/9:51/ When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem.
(1c) Luke 13:22
/13:22/ Jesus went through one town and village after another, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem.
(2a) John 2:13
/2:13/ The Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
(2b) John 5:1
/5:1/ After this there was a festival of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
(2c) John 7:1-13
/7:1/ After this Jesus went about in Galilee. He did not wish to go about in Judea because the Jews were looking for an opportunity to kill him. /7:2/ Now the Jewish festival of Booths was near. /7:3/ So his brothers said to him, "Leave here and go to Judea so that your disciples also may see the works you are doing; /7:4/ for no one who wants to be widely known acts in secret. If you do these things, show yourself to the world." 7:5 (For not even his brothers believed in him.) /7:6/ Jesus said to them, "My time has not yet come, but your time is always here. /7:7/ The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify against it that its works are evil. /7:8/ Go to the festival yourselves. I am not going to this festival, for my time has not yet fully come." /7:9/ After saying this, he remained in Galilee. /7:10/ But after his brothers had gone to the festival, then he also went, not publicly but as it were in secret. /7:11/ The Jews were looking for him at the festival and saying, "Where is he?" /7:12/ And there was considerable complaining about him among the crowds. While some were saying, "He is a good man," others were saying, "No, he is deceiving the crowd." /7:13/ Yet no one would speak openly about him for fear of the Jews.
